April First in Gingerville...

...looks like our girl is up to something! Probably heading over to Hepburn's trailer to introduce Leo here to that 'Baby' cat of Kate's...
...as mentioned in previous entries (and as most of you well know), Ginger was known for her 'practical jokes', so I bet April Fool's Day was a major occurrence for her...would have been cool to see some of her pranks she pulled!
So, in the spirit of Miss Rogers, be sure to 'punk' someone today to celebrate 4/1/12, as well as to keep it Gingery!!!

...and of course, great work on the Ginger - Carole contest...still a few more hours, but it appears VKM is well on her way to the 'Final Four'!  From what I've read, the next round will still be at MM, but if she wins that, the 'Championship' will be on another site... I'll keep everything up to date, as I'm sure the fine folks over at MM will...

Y'all have a great KIG weekend!!!

    1. ...well, I hope 'shattered' is a positive thing for you! NOT like in, 'shattered foot', that you have had woes with for the last week!

...no pranks either way... we had a BIG day at the church house... my wife was in charge of the Easter Egg Hunt, so... setting up, 'doing', and 'breaking down stuff' took the better part of the afternoon...

Keep on documenting! Oh hey, did you perchance go thru Times Square to find Ginger's Restaurant? I know you may have been WAY off from that spot, but just curious... continue the great documentation work!

      KIG!

  2. I've done my part, rustling up some Ginger fans with whom I've lost touch. However, even better than that I wish I had the video tour of MAF&G's Monday's adventure. I do hope Ginger's Oscar is still there.

Hope you've had a great weekend, Lady F! How's the 'T-man' doing? good times, hopefully...

    2. Hey, Easter egg hunting already? what ya gonna do next sunday?!

I didn't get to find the restaurant :(
today has been a totally miserable day weatherwise and as i was meeting my cousin and his gf for brunch anyway it was much easier to spend the afternoon in their appartment writing up yesterday hehe, i got them interested in Ginger and Fred hehe

Ginger's Oscar is in the exhibition in Boston, i'm going back tomorrow, camera is fully charged!! so bed for me very soon lol

    3. Well, I think they do it the week before, since Easter Sunday is where a lot of families actually go to 'home churches' and visit other folks and stuff...and this was actually for the day care kids, where the majority of the kids and their folks don;t go to church there...so maybe it's to allow these folks to come to church this Sunday... is that the short answer? :-0

Well, great you are back on track - hang in there! We sat around today talking about vacation - we are probably heading to the beach in June, but hopefully by the end of summer we'll head to D.C., and hopefully onward to the exhibit...sounds like it wouldn't be a bad car trip from D.C. to Boston...I know it's 200 miles from Baltimore to NYC, then whatever on to Boston...if I'm THAT close, a few extra hundred miles ain't stoppin' me!!! :-)

also nice to hear you are making 'converts'... is your cuz in Boston? THAT's pretty convenient!

Continue your documentation of the journey!!!

      KIG!!!

  3. Yay! Ginger won!!!! I love Carole Lombard too, but I had to go for Ginger of course :). Now the next poll is over at Monty's All Good Things blog(I've been there before) and starts on Tuesday. Ginger is going against Grace Kelly. Hopefully Ginger wins!

    1. ...Yeah, this is tuff, cause I really like all the 'opponents'...dang, who doesn't like Irene Dunne? Of course, Lombard is classic, and I really dig Garbo as well... NOW it's against a PRINCESS, of all things!
Well, I've noticed from the voting from all of the other 'eras' that there were a LOT less votes in each contest... GK won her round with, like, 65 votes or something... so, in THEORY, VKMshould waltz thru the finals... but NOTHING is to be taken for granted... we HAVE to keep G-ologists at the ready to VOTE!!!

      KIG!
